haven't seen this kind of beauty in a while.
emily g. & i met through a mutual friend. she & i recently had a photography/swim lesson exchange. last week, she gave me tips on how to swim freestyle more efficiently. today, we went out to the baylands during dusk to shoot around. honestly, i'm not sure how helpful i was, but one thing was for sure: i was inspired to capture the beauty that exudes from emily g.
she is captivatingly beautiful.
usually when i'm inspired, i become a machine. i just can't stop editing photos & get lost in my zone. although my butt goes numb, my eyes completely strained, and i usually lose significant amounts of sleep...the satisfaction outweighs it all.
here are some of my favorites from today's shoot. i'd love to hear your thoughts about what you think about the composition, post-processing, your fav & why, what they evoke, etc.
as an artist, it's helpful to hear feedback when i put my work (and therefore my heart) out there.

solid set here. love them all. i like how you edited the black and white photo to be b&w so that the shapes can stand out. not sure if that's what you were going for.
ReplyDeletethe only thing i would/wouldn't change is the focus being on the inner eye. i always do that too and focus on the outer eye, but i think that can be distracting at times.
besides that, nothing else to really critique, love it!
i'm addicted to flare, so i think my favourite is the first photo. the lighting and colours and amazing, and i like it how you can just see her smiling in the background. the black and white photo is also amazing - i like how she is facing and how she is positioned in the frame - it is simply beautiful :) these two photos catch my eye the most :)
ReplyDeletewow, these are amazing. keep up the great work!
