the moon wanes
its luminescence made clear

idyllic.

sunday afternoon
on a rooftop of a barn.
the barn that i dwell.

my old friends guitar
capo
and pick.

strumming under the heating sun
humming tunes that matched
the pictures in my mind
of a beautiful old man.
remembering.

a hummingbird seeks nectar
a bird sings along (in his own key)
soft wafts of over ripened plums
drift into me
along with the pleasant breeze.

this is my sunday afternoon
on a rooftop of a barn.
the barn that i dwell.
